PAX and PAYTEF deploy innovative Android payment terminal solutions in Spain

PAX Technology, the world’s leading electronic payment terminal solution provider, has partnered with dynamic Spanish gateway provider PAYTEF to roll out new-generation smartphone-like Android payment terminals to Spanish merchants.

With Redsys certification now in place, PAYTEF can provide a wide range of innovative PAX devices, including the all-in-one mobile A920 SmartPOS, the A50 & A77 MiniPOS models, the A30 multilane SmartPINpad, and the IM30 unattended Android payment terminal.

Aitor Egurrola, Commercial Director at PAYTEF commented: “The payment industry is fast evolving toward Android solutions, and so are we. In PAX we see today’s natural market leader, a reputable company whose reputation for best-in-class Research & Development continues to deliver a wide portfolio of superior Android devices which are helping us transform the payment gateway market in Spain”.

PAYTEF implemented a smarter than usual certification process, achieved by entire PAX terminal portfolio rather than individually model by model, in a significantly shorter time frame which in turn enables PAYTEF customers to deploy solutions faster to market.

Mónica Roldán, Commercial Director at PAX Iberia added: “Spanish merchants are switching to using stylish Android payment terminals, a trend which is increasingly popular across Europe and the rest of the world, so we are delighted to be partnering with PAYTEF to help deliver these revolutionary solutions in this country".

Mark O’Flynn, Sales Director for the EMEA region at PAX, concluded: “PAX continues to invest heavily in Spain, a key European market for the Group. With impressive year on year growth and with well over 50 million terminals sold in over 120 countries, we are excited to be offering our high quality products in the Spanish market.”
