SIBS Deploys Innovative Payment Wallet on PAX Terminals in Portugal

(Hong Kong, PRC, 15 Jun 2016) PAX Global Technology Limited (“PAX,” HKSE stock code: 327.HK), one of the world’s leading Electronic Funds Transfer Point-of-Sale Terminal (“E-payment Terminal”) Solutions Services Providers, is pleased to have it’s S900 mobile GPRS payment terminals deployed for the first time at the “Rock in Rio Lisboa” music festival held in Portugal between 19-28 May 2016.

Over 90,000 people a day attended the festival and were able to make payments on 150 PAX terminals deployed by local channel payment system integrator Petrotec on behalf of SIBS, the Portuguese payment authority and a leading European processor.

Mr. João Filipe Costa, Senior Manager at SIBS, commented, “We ran an innovative payment software application called “Mb Way” on the S900 terminal, a mobile phone enabled wallet service that enables cardholders to accept and authorise payment through a push notification received on their mobile phone.”
