PAX Technology and Banca 5, a subsidiary of the Intesa Sanpaolo banking group, have partnered to deliver innovative Android-based terminal solutions to tobacconists across Italy.
Banca 5, whose mission is that of improving digital financial services for its customers, selected the PAX A60 Android SmartPOS as the device through which key value-added services are delivered, including in-store cash withdrawals, mobile airtime top-up, ticketing and a range of other acquiring services.
This is all part of the “START” offering from Banca 5 that was launched in May of this year, a service which they refer to as an “everything at your fingertips model”.
PAX not only provided Banca 5 with the technologically advanced A60 Android terminal, but also a complete ecosystem via the PAXSTORE service which facilitates the development and distribution of value-added applications to retail points, and which enables real-time management and remote control of Banca 5’s estate of Android devices throughout Italy.
