Touché deploys Oracle solution for F&B and Hospitality clients on PAX Android SmartPOS devices

· Press releases

PAX Technology, the world's leading payment terminal solutions provider, and Touché, a software provider for the Food & Beverage and Hospitality sector, have partnered to offer merchants the ability to streamline ordering, payment, and loyalty processes.

The Touché solution can be integrated on any of PAX's wide range of Android-based SmartPOS devices, as well as Oracle's MICROS Simphony POS system, enabling more efficient connectivity with a merchant's existing point of sale infrastructure. Full-service and Quick-service businesses can manage customer interactions such as:

  1. Pay@Table – review or split bills, add tips, apply discounts, accept payment, provide digital receipts and perform automatic POS reconciliation.
  2. Order@Table – take orders and update the MICROS Simphony POS system seamlessly.
  3. Loyalty integration – gather customer data to drive revenue through personalised campaigns.
  4. Order&Pay – Quick-service solution where the order is created, items scanned and payment processed.

"Demand for Android-based payment terminal solutions has increased dramatically in the last two years," said Mark OFlynn, EMEA Sales Director at PAX. "New-generation payment devices such as the A920 allow merchants to leverage one single solution to manage every customer interaction, helping save time and money thanks to software providers such as Touché."

The PAX portfolio of Android SmartPOS terminals works in either standalone or integrated mode. Each PAX device has a large HD touchscreen display, inbuilt cameras for 1D & 2D code scanning, with optional thermal printers – extremely convenient for merchants to accept card, contactless, or alternative payment methods. The PayDroid OS enables software applications to be displayed in a modern and innovative way, and together with the PAXSTORE cloud-based platform allows merchants to quickly add new services as their business grows or changes.

"We are excited about the global rollout of the Touché solution on the full range of PAX's latest Android mobile devices," said Sahba Saint-Claire, CEO of Touché. "Merchants in the F&B and hospitality space must adapt to new ways of operating as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, so thanks to Touché and PAX Technology they can now leverage a single solution to run operations more efficiently, and ultimately provide an improved suite of services to their customers."
